Shanghai MindMotion Microelectronics Co., Ltd. has officially announced that it has been awarded the ISO 26262 Functional Safety Management System ASIL D certification by the independent third-party testing, inspection, and certification organization, TÜV Rheinland. This certification signifies that the company has obtained a robust credential for entering the automotive electronics sector, marking the beginning of a new chapter in its future development.

The certification ceremony for MindMotion Microelectronics' ISO 26262 Functional Safety Management System took place on October 17th at MindMotion Microelectronics' Shanghai headquarters. Representatives from both sides, including Ms. Yang Jiayue, Vice General Manager of Industrial Services and Information Security at TÜV Rheinland Greater China, MindMotion Microelectronics Chairman Mr. Wu Zhongjie, and CEO Mr. Zhu Min, attended the event.

ISO 26262, as an internationally recognized standard for automotive functional safety, encompasses various aspects such as safety requirement planning, design, implementation, integration, verification, validation, configuration, and more. Its purpose is to minimize the risk of electrical or electronic system failures in automobiles through a well-defined development process. Currently, ISO 26262 Functional Safety certification is one of the prerequisites for electronic component suppliers to enter the automotive industry. Within this standard, ASIL D represents the highest level of safety integrity defined by the ISO 26262 international standard, involving the strictest safety requirements and risk management, making it highly prestigious in the automotive electronics field.

MindMotion Microelectronics' CEO, Mr. Zhu Min, expressed that the Chinese semiconductor industry has undergone significant development but still faces multiple challenges to enter applications demanding high reliability. This certification implies that MindMotion Microelectronics' product design process has undergone extensive validation, meeting the stringent requirements of international standards and gaining industry recognition. It is a crucial step for the company's journey into high-reliability applications and lays a solid foundation for its future expansion in the automotive chip market.

Ms. Yang Jiayue, Vice General Manager of Industrial Services and Information Security at TÜV Rheinland Greater China, congratulated MindMotion Microelectronics on receiving the ISO 26262 ASIL D certification. TÜV Rheinland looks forward to collaborating with MindMotion Microelectronics in various fields to jointly promote safety standards and technological development within the domestic semiconductor industry, providing users with safer and more reliable products and services.

The ISO 26262 certification for MindMotion Microelectronics was led by Mr. Chen Dawei, a former member of the "Key High Base" major project expert group, Chief Engineer of the China Electronics Standardization Institute, and a responsible expert for industrial control and automotive chip standardization. Mr. Chen Dawei mentioned during the ceremony that the team would adhere to the public safety design concept of the ISO 26262 system and continuously improve the company's end-to-end processes from design and development to production management.

Dr. Zhou Rongzheng, MindMotion Microelectronics' Chief Technology Officer, noted in his speech that over the past few years, the company has consistently invested in building safety systems for the automotive industry, resulting in valuable experience and significant achievements. Currently, many of MindMotion Microelectronics' products have been applied in the front-end supply chain of entire vehicles. In the future, the company will continue to advance into various automotive fields such as batteries, electric drive, electronic control, chassis, and transmission, deepening its industry presence.
